Marching on

Well I don't know where September has gone but it's literally flown by, but at least it's been a productive month for me. Fortress of steel continues to do well and on the 19th (was it really just 4 days ago?) book 2 in the Legion of the damned series - Forests of death - was also published. Book 3 - Islands of mist - which sees Centurion Marcus Corvo and his force of expendables land on British shores - is up for pre-order now for just 99p on Kindle and is scheduled for release on the 23rd January 2026.
And as for book 4 in the series, well I have literally just put the finishing touches to the editing this morning despite feeling rough with some lurgy or other, so that's ready for my publisher whenever they need it (the book not the lurgy).
A brief break from writing Roman fiction is in order now I think - perhaps I'll go and try and write some short stories for a change of pace or go back to working on my World War One novel, I'm not sure yet, but Corvo and his men will never be far from my mind. The process of formulating a storyboard for book 5 in the series has already begun and I'll keep developing that whilst I write something different.
Thanks again to everyone who has bought a copy of the first three books - it means the world to me and means that the Legion of the damned get to undertake more suicidal missions on the edges of the Roman Empire.
